Melanin

Natural pigment found in the human skin, where it is produced by skin pigment cells — melanocytes. It has the ability to absorb UVB radiation and acts as a natural photoprotective molecule. Therefore, when added to sunscreen, it additionally supports the protection of your skin against the sun and its radiation. It also demonstrates antioxidant activity, protecting skin cells against harmful free radicals.
