Ornithine

One of the three amino acids (beside L-arginine and L-citrulline) involved in the urea cycle; it also participates in glutamate synthesis. L-ornithine also plays a key role in protein formation and accelerates wound healing. It reduces fine lines and wrinkles, producing what is commonly known as the “skin plumping effect”.

Ornithine used in the Slow On neck, décolletage, and bust serum is extracted from plants using biotechnological methods, and encapsulated in liposomes with a phospholipid–glycolipid bilayer. Liposomes keep ornithine stable while increasing its bioavailability. The product contains ornithine at a 0.3% concentration*.
